Maple Syrup

Did you know it takes 40 gallons of maple sap to make a gallon of maple syrup?

Two weeks ago, students worked together to collect sap from each tap in the maple trees at Lincoln Street School. They brought the buckets of maple sap to the maple shed where it would later be boiled down to make delicious syrup.
Thank you to Mr. Schmitt, Mrs. Estle, Mr. Estle, and Mr. Melick for showing us the boiling process, sharing your knowledge about this process, and for sharing a sweet sample of syrup.
