Revolutionary War at Sea

The Fifth Grade Team partnered with The Society of the Cincinnati and received two trunks with replica items from the Revolutionary War at sea. Students enjoyed working in small groups to piece together the outfits and have conversations about the ranking of the person that would have worn

the outfit. 

Maple Syrup

Did you know it takes 40 gallons of maple sap to make a gallon of maple syrup?

Two weeks ago, students worked together to collect sap from each tap in the maple trees at Lincoln Street School. They brought the buckets of maple sap to the maple shed where it would later be boiled down to make delicious syrup.
